Record-Breaker Kipkemboi Wins Liupanshui Summer International Marathon in Style
In the peak of summer, an unusual marathon started in LiuPanShui, a south-western city of China renowned for its surreal cool temperature during the summer months. An international running event 6 years in the making, is now one of the major running events in China. 30,000 enthusiastic runners gathered in the breezy morning for the annual run of LiuPanShui Summer International Marathon. Participants from 11 countries and regions, as far away as Tanzania, Australia, France and Russia came to this race, with the oldest runner being 88 years old and the youngest one being a 1-year-old child. Robert Kiplimo Kipkemboi from Kenya and Eunice Chebichii Chumba from Bahrain broke LiuPanShui Summer International Marathon records in their own categories!
