Buehler presents 'Deciphering Metallographahic Etching and Microstructural Analysis of Tool Steels' an educational Webinar on May 26, 2021. Tool steels have a distinctive hardness and resistance to abrasion and deformation. They are a variety of carbon steel and alloy steels that are ideal for making into tools that are used for cutting, pressing, extruding other materials. Their manufacturing includes heat treatment and must be exact as they need to meet required quality standards. Carbides are important in their make-up and may include: tungsten, chromium, vanadium and molybdenum.
