To avoid injury and reduce the risk of complications, Breast Implants USA encourages women seeking breast augmentation to seek surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Surgeons with these specific certifications are required to have undergone tremendous training and rigorous testing. Selecting a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon is one of many steps one can take to promote a positive outcome and help avoid issues such as the one which befell the beauty pageant contestant.
